Learn moreTired of dry and irritated skin? Follow These Tips!
There are many reasons your skin gets irritated. The environment, hormones, stress and the big one: your MICROBIOME imbalance (I posted about this years ago but will talk more about that in a future blog). For more than 20 years, Darphin has been one of my favorite skin care lines. I was first introduced to Darphin when I was the celebrity artist and trainer for Canyon Ranch Spas at The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. Since then, I have continued to carry specific products from Darphin and often include them into my client’s skin care programs. Darphin recently launched an amazing new skin care product called Intral Rescue Super Concentrate. This serum helps to soothe, reduce irritations and calm the skin. I love this product and so do my clients. For best results, use it once or twice a day. Drinking water is so important in your health, however using water on the skin can be very dehydrating and irritating. So the question is, how do I clean my skin while still maintaining hydration? By wiping the skin clean with an Antioxidant Pad, this way you soothe the skin as well as clean it without stripping the skin of its natural balance. After cleaning the skin, use the Intral Rescue Super Concentrate Serum followed by my Oxygen Cream. Once or twice a week mix a teaspoon of full fat yogurt and blend it with my Soothing Gel Mask and leave it on for 20 minutes. If you are having issues with dry irritated hands or any area of your body, try using Neocutis BioBody at night and during the day use the Augustinus Bader Hand Cream & Body Cream. This combination works wonders! Hope this helps, if you have follow-up questions please feel free to connect with me @jaiofbeverlyhills
Learn moreFall Skin Tips with Jai
Coming from Canada, Fall was always such a wonderful time of year with explosions in color and the cuddly feeling of cooler days, warm snuggly clothing and shorter days of light. Living now in Southern California doesn't provide many of the seasonal changes to the eye, but you can feel the change in the air. This year has been so difficult for so many of us and it looks like it may continue for quite awhile so creating some skin care rituals in the morning and at night is important. It will make you feel and look better. There are specific products to add into your program to keep your skin in balance. Your moisturizer should have more emollients in it with either Vitamin C and or retinol and I always recommend a good Growth Factor to support and firm the skin. The Balancing Scrub will help get rid of the dullness quickly and gently. Try and do a mask a few times a week. We have added many new products into the studio. We are happy to have recently added the new TNS Advanced Serum, which blows me away with by the results. Additionally, the COSTA BRAZIL body and face care programs. Please remember, I am always here to help review your program, just send me a message. Remember to sleep a little more, drink more water and get out and enjoy this wonderful time of year. One more thing which will make a difference. VOTE VOTE VOTE. Stay safe all my best Jai
Learn moreCleaning and Steaming Your Skin at Home
Years ago I worked with Georgette Klinger in Palm Beach Florida and was introduced to a new way of steaming the skin. After cleansing a clients skin, we had the client lean over a steaming pot of water mixed with Chamomile tea. It was such a lovely experience for the client and as an aesthetician it was the perfect way to open clients pores before extraction. It's simple to do but be careful as it is hot hot water. I would recommend steaming for 5-10 minutes after you've cleaned the skin first. After finishing the steam massage the skin with your favorite moisturizer or oil for a good 10 minutes. Apply a mask of your choice. Truly this is a wonderful way to take care of your skin and give yourself a little self care to remind yourself how amazing you are. Learn moreVitamin C and why you should have in your skin program
Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that brightens and helps repair damage to the skin. It works beautifully to help lighten pigmentation without the chemicals of Hydroquinone. We highly recommend Vitamin C to most of our clients and see the wonderful results with this addition. We have three that we recommend at the studio, BEAUTYSTAT VITAMIN C ( 20% Ascorbic acid, rated number one Allure Beauty. This Vitamin C is great for all types of skins and is terrific for anyone with a more oily skin. ISDIN FLAVO-C ULTRAGLICAN Vials This Vitamin C has moisturizing ingredients that are terrific for a skin that is on the drier side. We also recommend this Vitamin C for micro-needling as it gives a wonderful glow to the skin. NEOCUTIS VITAMIN C 45 Sunblock. Neocutis products are high in antioxidants, peptides and growth factors. Incorporating Vitamin C into your skin program helps to boost the Sunblock. We love this product, especially for our athletes.

Learn moreUsing Balms and Oils during the Winter to help support the skin
Winter can be hard on the skin. Cold dry air, going in and out of heated buildings and the extra stress the season brings to us. I recommend to my clients to add in a Cleansing Balm ( love the Darphin Cleansing Balm) into the skin program to gently cleanse the skin and we add in oil that will help hydrate the skin. One of my favorite oils for this time of year is the 8 Flower Nectar Oil by Darphin, it is so lovely and the smell of the oil helps you to remember to slow down and enjoy the ritual of taking care of yourself. Taking baths at the time of year is also so important to help your body relax and de-stress. Adding in some Epsom Salts is great for inflammation and the Forest or Deep Relax Bath and Shower Oils from Aromatherapy Associates is divine. Keep the holidays from being too stressful. Take the time you need for yourself.
Learn moreCRYOTHERAPY , NEW AT JAI'S
Because of its “healing” properties, cold therapy treatment can be localized to different parts of the body, which makes it perfect to use in facials! During our Cryo Facial, cryogenically cooled air is blown onto the face; it is non-invasive, pain-free, and has many wonderful benefits, which makes it extremely popular among my clients. The cryogenically cooled air helps stimulate collagen and elastin production, which tightens the skin. The cold air helps relieve inflamed areas by causing blood vessels to vasodilate (widen), which increases the absorption of the product. Additionally, this therapy helps to remove toxins and CO2 from the superficial layers of the skin. It also calms down redness and inflammation, which makes it a great option for clients with rosacea or eczema. After a Cryo Facial, skin looks smoother, tighter, and truly luminous. You can benefit from a singular treatment, but for best results, I recommend 6 consecutive treatments 1-2 times per week. An amazing addition to any treatment.
