CRYOTHERAPY , NEW AT JAI'S
Because of its “healing” properties, cold therapy treatment can be localized to different parts of the body, which makes it perfect to use in facials! During our Cryo Facial, cryogenically cooled air is blown onto the face; it is non-invasive, pain-free, and has many wonderful benefits, which makes it extremely popular among my clients. The cryogenically cooled air helps stimulate collagen and elastin production, which tightens the skin. The cold air helps relieve inflamed areas by causing blood vessels to vasodilate (widen), which increases the absorption of the product. Additionally, this therapy helps to remove toxins and CO2 from the superficial layers of the skin. It also calms down redness and inflammation, which makes it a great option for clients with rosacea or eczema. After a Cryo Facial, skin looks smoother, tighter, and truly luminous. Fall Skin Care
Summer is almost over and fall is on its way. Living in Southern California we will still be seeing a lot of hot dry weather for a few more months but elsewhere in the country the cooler days of fall will soon be here. The change of seasons can wreck havoc on the skin. The body releases heat and in doing so the skin can have more breakouts if your skin is on the oilier side. If you skin tends to be on the drier side or dehydrated you will find that the skin starts to look ashy, less glowy. For the skin that is on the oilier side or acneic it is important to reve up the exfoliation, ie. Balancing Scrub, add in a great hydrating serum, ie. Silk Serum and do a mask more frequently, we love the Zinc and Sulphur mixed in with a cold yogurt. This will increase the exfoliation of dead cells and allow your serum to penetrate and do its job. Oxygen Cream is so great to be added in twice a day. Icing the skin twice a day for 3-5 minutes will help balance the skin and remove the heat from the tissue. For the skin that is on the drier side or dehydrated, Balancing Scrub once a day, Silk Serum for hydration, using a mask moisture infusion will be so great help hydrate the skin. I recommend that my clients use their Microneedles two to three times a week during this transition, it will help stimulate and heal the skin. RETINOL
There is are so many choices of Retinol in the skin care market. I have recommended this product ingredient for many years for my clients. Retinol has the ability to renew the skin, make the pores smaller, remove fine lines and wrinkles etc. After trying numerous retinol products we are super excited about this amazing new product from Darphin. It is a low amount of retinol in a gentle oil base which is gentle in the application and can be used on the most sensitive of skins. We also carry NOUVELLE from Neocutis which is amazing but much stronger than the Darphin. There are certain ingredients that you should have in your skin program, retinol being one of them. Vitamin C is a must as well and we love the ISDIN Vial Vitamin C, effective, viable and a good price. Hyaluronic Acid is also so important. There are different molecules of this amazing ingredient that are important. We love the Hyalis from Neocutis and our silk serum. Hyalis is a lighter formula that penetrates deeper into the skin which is great for stronger hydration. Silk Serum is thicker which is great for surface hydration, wonderful for super dry skin or lines and wrinkles. Adding in a good moisturizer with these ingredients will lock in the moisture and efficacy of these products. We have many different formulas that work for many different skin types. If you are looking for something at your local store look for something that has Glycerin, it will hydrate and not clog the skin. New Product Alert: ELEVARE PLUS
I have been using LED in my studio for over 20 years. My favorite has been the OMNILUX medical light system and I've been using it for years at the studio. Over the years I have carried a few at home light systems but the good ones have always been discontinued for various reasons. I haven't added a new one in a few years as the ones I have seen are either not strong enough to do anything or the face masks I have concerns about not using a goggle or an eye protector. I was introduced to ELEVARE many months ago and researched, tried and ultimately brought in Elevare Plus to the studio. I like this particular one as it can be used on both face and body and it actually works. Elevare Plus is truly a game changer for the skin. It's recommended to use three times a week for 20 minutes for a month and then follow up with once or twice a week. When using it around the eyes, I recommend you close the eyes for protection. PIGMENTATION and how to fix it.
Pigmentation is a huge problem for a lot of my clients. There are many products that you can use to help combat the damages in the skin and also a few lasers that are helpful. Products that contain Vitamin C, Kojic Acid, Vitamin k, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid and one of the ingredients on the market now is Bakuchoil. Hydroquinone is a terrific way to lighten pigmentation and is available through your Dermatologist at levels of 4%, however there is a lot of negative implications of using this ingredient for a long time. I recently added a wonderful product from Spain to the Studio. It has MELATONIN, BAKUCHOIL and VITAMIN C in high concentrations that is used in the evenings. I am seeing wonderful results with this product. Doing a lot of peels on pigmented skin causes even more damage that will show later on. MICRONEEDLING can help a lot and there is a new treatment called PLASMA PEN but be sure you go to a qualified professional to recieve this treatment.
